"Life is an Adventure," "Breath of Life," and "The Promise." I decided to group these three paintings together not only because the color palette is similar in all three and they complement each other so well but also because of the message they spoke to me when looking upon them as one. In "Life is an Adventure" I see an example of all the wonderful opportunities life has to offer and a sense of a life well lived. It reminds me of being in a candy store in my youth. The joy of seeing all of the delightful colors and choices! In gazing at this artwork I am filled with that same level of excitement and joy as I gaze upon the vibrant colors and various directions they seem to take, anticipating and breathing in all that life can give. I see Christ in me hope of glory.
With "Breath of Life," I imagine the unseen force, the very breath of God, the Spirit of God that propels my life and keeps a watchful eye over my very existence. I see as if through a looking glass the rains of heaven and the finger of God that comes upon me and touches not only me but all of creation. In that gaze is a realization of the abundant blessings He continual provides. "The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and shalt not borrow." Deuteronomy 28:12 (KJ)
The "The Promise," is two-fold. I see my covering, defense and truth not only as it relates to me but also to the world around me, even the trees that spring up from the earth. "The Promise" not only speaks of my life now but also of my future existence, where I am going and where I will live. May you believe in and partake of His Promise! "He shall cover thee with His feathers. And under His wings shalt thou trust: His truth shield and buckler." Psalm 91:4 "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea." Revelations 21:1 (KJ)
I grouped these three as one presentation: Symbolic of the work of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit in our lives.
